Emergency Winter Night Shelter: 31st December 2009 - Friday 8th January 2010

NOAH Enterprise, in partnership with Luton Borough Council, Midshires Search and Rescue Organisation and the St John's Ambulance Service are operating an Emergency Winter Night Shelter which will operate on forecasted cold nights when temperatures are forecast at 0° or below.

The shelter will be open until Friday 8th January 2010. Beyond that, if the temperature is again forecast to fall below 0° for three consecutive nights the Emergency Shelter will open again. We will advise of this on this website and there are notices placed at appropriate locations throughout Luton.

Location and Directions

The Shelter is situated at the Park Town Community Centre, in Bailey Street off Park Street in Luton, just a short walk from NOAH's Welfare Centre. There will be hot drinks and a meal available in the course of the evening/night as well as comfortable sleeping arrangements.

Opening Times

The Shelter will be open from 9pm until 8am at which time people using the service can come to NOAH's Welfare Centre on Park Street for Breakfast and follow-up support as required.
