Training Centre


NOAH Enterprise's Training Centre was officially opened by HM Queen Elizabeth II in 1999.

In conjunction with Dunstable College, the Training Centre runs courses that are open both to our clients and the wider community.

The syllabus includes
- Carpentry: Cabinet Making NVQ1, NVQ2 and NVQ3
- Electrical Engineering, Introduction to
- Life Skills
- CLAIT (Computer Literacy And Information Technology), Level 1 & 2.

Students are drawn from a wide spectrum. In addition to clients from our Welfare Service, the Training Centre attracts many from the local community.

The majority are also disadvantaged through unemployment or incapacity and in receipt of Job Seeker's Allowance, Income Support or Incapacity Benefit. A proportion of students are Women Returners i.e. women looking to refresh or renew their skills with a view to seeking employment or generally contributing to the development of the family. Attendees also include a number who are retired and wish to acquire new skills or refresh old ones, and young students who have left or been excluded from school with few qualifications.
